1. Why do we participate in the National Science Conference Program?

The purpose that leads our team participated in writing this conference publication. First of all, our Founder & Chairman Bill Nguyen, he exprienced in teaching at University of Houston, United States and University of Financing - Banking, Vietnam above 10 years. He has a sympathy with the difficulties entire formal school education system in Vietnam, especially universities, colleges, and vocational schools in the hub cities where welcoming and incharging the large numbers of University students anually from all provinces.

Therefore, ABS Institute wants to contribute innovate teaching and learning methods in a new, relatively in creative way and adapting new technology features for your reference. We believe that this article will inspire teachers, as well as the school councils, to have lively discussions for the future of Vietnamese education, for the hundred-year career of cultivating people.

2. Objectives

ABS responsive

If we only look at the disadvantages and negatives

Perhaps most teachers feel somehow dilemma and a little bit of get in stuck with issues

Because today's when the teachers also hard to change our traditional way of working. Indeed, we also realizes that it's thanks to the COVID epidemic that Vietnamese education industry has had the opportunity to recover to plan to restore all teaching methods and materials, specifically the types of electronic lesson plans. Blended learning exercises, E-Learning home works and online teaching tools of teachers were more optimized, and more suitable for students' thinking than traditional learning methods.

3. Assessment of the impact of COVID-19 on education industry

ABS responsive

As you have seen the information about the COVID-19 epidemic

In Vietnam, since the first case of coronavirus infection had finding in community at the end of January 2020, the Vietnam Government has taken a definitive decision to temporarily close educational institutions.

Before this unprecedented event, the Vietnamese government and the Ministry of Education have also sought ways to maintain the positivity of our education from being completely put off. Online learning, also known as E-Learning during the time of social distancing, has been approved by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and launched official courses and curricula. Although the online learning strategy has been responded by schools in a timely manner, this form of information technology application in education still has really new that we need more clarify to the mass.

4. About students' parents in this situation

As parents and students, parents are both worried about their children's health and tension a bit to know that their children are always playing games because of they stay home for a long time... so in the long-term effortness of learning distancing, all parents doubt about the effectiveness of E-Learning.

5. Challenges to University and College's students

ABS responsive

For the students, who are taking formal courses including High schools, Vocational colleges and Universities, Colleges...

This is the first period of time when they come into contact with E-Lectures, E-Homeworks through this distance learning situation.

According to a survey we collected from University and College, the stats show that students only try E-Learning in the period before they officially comeback school, but they also did not denied that online learning at school's campus was easily influenced by external influences, such as noisy or learning environment, besides they cannot to share, express theirs point of views freely with teachers and their friends. At the same time, some students also have difficulty with poor internet connection, Wi-Fi no signals... making it difficult to attend E-Learning classes, Google Meet or Zoom.

6. #1 Opportunities

COVID-19 has given an surprising boost to online learning, especially during the digital transformation of the Vietnamese education to the formal courses and curricula, with the the hands of the whole society. Schools and Ministries can take advantage of this opportunity to review and acknowledge efforts to adapt immediately and improve traditional education weaknesses. During COVID pandemic period of time, Vietnamese parents and students also gradually get acquainted with and experience the advantages and disadvantages of E-Learning. Up to this time the number of COVID-19 infections has also decreased significantly, many restrictions related to the social distancing have now been opened and students are allowed to return to school.

In addition, on this occasion we realized that E-Learning also offers a special opportunity to help students in remote areas have a better opportunity to study with their friends in the city with quality training programs.

We also found that E-Learning is a solution to save significantly the cost of building and operating a school, which is very suitable for provinces with difficult conditions like:

- There are no investment costs for facilities, classrooms, the budget of build up classes for classes in rural areas, village schools is too high and there are too many limitations.

Instead of now a days with the E-Learning, teachers who are working at village schools could be:

- Host theirs online classes to break down learning barriers and passively acquire knowledge. Teachers and students are no longer confined to the traditional model of no space, to be able to break free to do creative things. Indeed, thanks to E-Learning transformation, teachers have the combination of listening to lectures and searching for information on the Internet then they can teach theirs students faster.

We do research and get conclustion that on the EdTech global market, online learning and practice programs can help strengthen and promote connections between advanced education in Vietnam to foreign educations. Professors, scholars and students can together enhance their research, teaching and learning capabilities when they have access to digital resources through E-Learning LMS system.

In the near future, we believe that more and more institutions and nations will cooperate by offering participated in E-Certificates and syllabuses created by them. This partnership will require the skills and knowledge of the stakeholders involved in operating and developing all the E-Learning programs. Especially, Vietnam will no longer be limited in its online teaching and learning capacity with the international community anymore. However, we also insight that to realize this target, this is a big challenging that needs to take time.

7. #2 Challenges

E-Learning is a remedy in certain COVID-19 situations, and we must also work towards turning challenges into opportunities. To do so, we need the cooperation of the families, school councils, society and learn more from the experiences of developed countries such as Canada, the United States...

Classically, all students are used to a social life at school, interacting and learning with friends, that's why the monotony of E-Learning which lack of physical subjects and soft skills like Sports, Break time together... it can make our students become aggressive, depressed in the long run. For all the parents, balancing their work and talking to their child attachment needs is a tough.

So it's a important to strengthen the connection between home and school, parents and teachers would help our society to resolve students' psychological problems.

Challenges come from teachers. When teachers are not really ready for the transition to online teaching, this is the second bug. There are many teachers who are deny to film themselves, because they are afraid of filming in front of the camera, partly due to lack of skills, they are afraid that whether they confuse if they say something wrong, it will be difficult to correct it. To solve this problem, teachers need to overcome theirs fear into turn these challenges into opportunities and become E-Instructors instead of teachers.

Besides, we figured out that E-Learning was not merely a story of the education system, or the technology factors... actually that was the human factor. Human resources including teachers and students.

In addition to the teacher's challenges, E-Learners which means students also have to read E-books by themselves, self-tuition on their own and form groups to discuss. If to teachers, organizing learning activities and managing classrooms were the main task, so in a digital environment students need to give-a-hand to help theirs teachers make thing works. For E-Courses effectively will be a challenge for both.

“User-centered learning” or "Student-centered learning" are a long-standing principle. However, how to perform it and transform it from the traditional environment to the digital environment is always a big deal. Teachers need to build interactions, build discussions and prepare carefully for learners.

In the traditional classroom, there have long been models of quality management. But, to manage the quality of teaching in the digital environment, to be able to claim the quality is guaranteed, it will always be a challenge for teachers and school administrators. Managers need to have a system of indicators that are measured continuously, intuitively and transparently to have an overview and have timely quality assurance work.

The activities of creating quizzes, gamification, creating video lectures, including speaking in front of the camera and editing lesson content... are a very new chapter in building online teaching resources. There are many teaching aids and interactive game creation tools available, so teachers also need to learn how to take advantage and optimize these recreational activities in their teaching plan.

The challenge of online teaching. Initially, is the awareness and commitment of the top leadership in the organization. We want to mention about leaders such as Vice-principals, Professors and Heads of departments/councils... when this veteran team have not ready to perform theirs skills, as well as lacks of update knowledge then this will be a big barrier.

Perhaps the leader is a traditional teacher, so he doesn't really know the destination and process of converting the number of textbooks to effectively implement E-Learning. This is the things that universities and vocational schools will have to overcomes.

8. #3 Three methods we recommend to teachers

- Method 01: The teachers should attract students to theirs online classroom with their own presence, please don't become or acting as a robot.

We recommend that teachers should take some time to create a lively Welcome Video every week. After correcting or grading, teachers can give feedback to students in the form of audio or video. Call your students by their names, not by their student numbers. E-Learning enough distancing already, we should not make our relationships more cold!

- Method 02: Through the video conferencing, teachers can completely share and empathize with the children just like we are talking and kidding directly outside.

In case you realize that your students are having some difficulties, but you feel that you are not the best object to help them express themselves, you also can organize a quick video call to connect your student with an other teacher who are more suitable than you. Besides, you could send encouraging messages and wishes to support students to overcome difficulties.

- Method 03: Try to insight your students in creative ways.

Survey the children in the first week of school. Using the form tool, ask questions and get your student's feedback on the week's lessons. Teacher can host and create fun recess games that connect the whole class, build a cyclical feedback loop to prepare better lesson plans for each group of students with different personalities.

There are some types of learner who will learn visually, which means they are very sensitive to the knowledge represented by diagrams and graphics.

Whilst some types of learner will learn effectively through listening, when they recite the information and paraphrase it orally, ie. understand the content.

But there are also have types of learners who learn well through reading and writing... or they only understand the lesson well through some physical activity.

9. Six Steps To Do

After three methods we mentioned up there. We hope that teachers will complete the three basic steps, we will be inspired to continue implementing the following Online Course Design solutions, we will describe the conceptual framework for you, including six steps to do:

Step 1. Set the options that increase the motivation for students.

Applying this will enables your students to express themselves through text, voice and shorts video. Provides formatting and theme options for projects.

Step 2. Use the "Soft straps can tie more securely" formula in teaching

Empowering them to participate in the decision-making process. Encourage them to organizing groups, creating content for class activities to suggest ideas for evaluating yours' online classes.

Step 3. Create diversity in the learning and practice

Assign home works to require your students to explore connections in the reality, you and your students will familiar to the video conferencing as a friendly tool use to discuss. Ideally, teachers should invite your students to contribute videos, images, and links to demonstrate examples and concepts in their lectures.

Step 4. Boost Creativity

There will be times when you need to push your students out of their comfort zone. Facilitate and motivate students to start trying to create new things, evaluate learning through content creation.

Step 5. Educate the students to cooperate

You need to allow your students to inspire each other, to have students use social technologies to design connected learning activities.

Step 6. Feel free to ask them to build their learning ideas with you

Design projects that last longer than your classes, turn students into content creators, ask students to share work with peers and on open web sites.

10. Conclusion

Our goal of this topic is to re-evaluate the social impacts of COVID-19 on the Education sector in 2020. To assessment, adjust the scale, and summarize the advantages and disadvantages that the Education sector have to faces it.

From the research results, we offer some solutions to better meet the online learning demands of students. In addition, based on the basis of discussions from advanced education backgrounds to modify and supplement solutions to eligible to the teaching and implementation capacity of Vietnamese lecturers.

In conclude, our essay indicates that the impacts of online training activities (E-Learning) to teachers and students. It can be said that, when we know-how to used technology effectively, E-learning activities have the potential to reach our learning outcomes correctly.

By using optimal costs and can provide meaningful scholarships to disadvantaged students in society. They are living and learning in rural areas that they have poor living, learning conditions.

E-learning also provides High school, University, etc... with the opportunity to collect data about their user (student accounts), which is hard to achieve through traditional Youth Club activities. The development of E-Learning at the school has helped teachers to insight students better. By a click, your students can interact with E-Lectures, search information related to lesson via Internet, and even rate for lesson quality.

However, this type of E-Learning still has some key disadvantages that we need to keep in mind:

It is a pedagogy technology-driven approach that makes it easy for some schools to depend too much on technology and it also empowers to all students can reviews for personal gain, lower the reputation of the school… potentially causing disrepute great for school campaigns and activities. If the school does not control the content well, it is easy to affect the image and reputation of the school.

Even though there are still certain dangers and risks. On the other hand, E-Learning is still worthy of being a type of online training that has a positive impact on the development of the younger generation of students and teachers, too!

Through the analysis results of factors affecting the satisfaction level of students. We have proposed a list of solutions to improve the quality of E-learning textbooks (E-Books) for teachers. These suggestions will help serve as a basis for teachers to choose the necessary solutions to improve the quality of teaching, educational services, and improve the position and brand of the school.

In the end of this topic, we can conclude that: The quality of teachers' teaching cannot be generally assessed according to the traditional scale that the Ministry of Education has established. The application for a long time only a matter of achievement, but nowadays it needs to be measured by a set of multiple assessment scales from parents, from students... to measure the accurate way components are related and have an impact on the quality of learning and teaching.
